fecal matter in verbal form

I got observed today by a member of this accreditation committee. All these teachers form all of these different schools are coming around today to observe all of the teachers in the school. we have to all be on our pee's and que's. The school is nervous about it so they prevented any newspapers from being delivered to the school so students don't sit and read it. Shut down all the computer labs, printed out name tags for all the staff. What will probably happen is the committee will say we are good teachers after all, but they may take away our accreditation or put us on probabtion if we don't meet their standards which may mean that the school gets closed, but it will probably mean that the city and the state will dump a bunch of money into the school in response. Teachers are hoping for new computers and lcd projectors...and maybe white boards.

MICHIGAN STATE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They're playing in Worchester which is a $6 train ride away so there may be some road tripping this final four.

I got the toughest question I'll ever face as a math teacher today. "Why are we doing this?" I said "Because this unit is part of what is universally recognized as geometry, and you will use this in college, or in the workplace if you have to draw angles accurately." I don't think that was a good enough job of explaining why this girl who is at least 5 months pregnant, and struggling to get her green card, should spend countless hours after school to keep from failing the class for a third term in a row...So I'll try with something else tommorrow assuming that she is in school of course.

The People Under The Stairs's CD, which is mislabeled in my CD book as The Roots Organix, is the shit.

carl, that was some BULLshit today in class. I'm so sorry. just know how pissed off everyone was about it. in fact, we spent our entire section bitching about it instead of talking about the teacher leadership paper (the assigned task).
