ONE.BE.LO

Thanks to the Dewitte phone call reminder I went and saw One Be Lo, (AKA One Man Army of Binary Star). I had forgotten and was planning on spending a quiet night watching movies with some other people from my program here. In fact they were planning on the same thing. We had dinner, a couple bottles of wine, and sat down and watched Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle and then we went to this Underground Hip Hop show. It was a very good showing for our boy lo, there were like twice as many people packing the stage for his performance than there was for the Hangar 18 people (and there B.S. "multi-platinum selling debut."). What was really amazing was that he pretty much did the whole show by himself, no hype man really except the DJ. A pretty solid song selection to except he didn't do the "One Man Army, general subliminal..." from his old stuff, but he did everything, EVERYTHING, else. I went and talked to him afterwards and he remembered some people from the champaign illinois show, and he is from Pontiac, but he didn't run track. I asked him what was next, and he said a storm from subterraneous, a whole bunch of new artists are getting ready to drop stuff so that should be cool.
