Yom Kippur

This is like the first deep breath of the school year. At this time we have a nice three day weekend to take a step back and evaluate what is going on. What's going on in my class? Not enough learning. There is too much conversation while I am talking, and I have not yet developed, nor have I ever, developed a way to get them all to be quiet. I need to break up people from doing whatever they want all class. It's not about slowly turning the school into a place of learning. It is creating the best environment for learning and doing your best to prevent the students from breaking that up.
