First Quizq
So we had our first quiz. Most of the results are not surprising, the insanely good class did insanely good, the ok class did ok. Yet, I'm surprised that the class of special ed students who did not know exactly what they were doing two days before the quiz, where a group of students were not even in the room. Where a number of students spend all day talking with their friends when I know they need to do their work. I knew damn well that they were not going to pass my quiz, but I forgot about that because I guess its easier to just give it, then to come up with new ways to teach material that you'd already drilled into the heads of the good kids so much they are begging to take the quiz. However, that is the point of special ed. I am supposed to come up with a new to teach the stuff they wouldn't get otherwise, and the state of new york pays good money to have that happen. Now the money that is meant for these kids don't actually reach their classrooms. I don't get to work with the special ed teacher, and so I don't get the help in figuring out new ways to teach. Thus, I shouldn't be surprised by the results.
