On my last day of break I built a friggin' ftp server out of my brothers old sony vaio. It wasn't that hard and now I have all of my music available at any computer at any time. I can access it the old fashioned way or I can get my orb.com going, which is another way to get at what ever is on the computer. Then I realized a couple of things:
1) I have really forgotten how important music is important to me, and how the joy of listening to a few good song really helps me realize that there is more to life than laboring over my job.
2) I'm a dork. More now than ever since I don't actually get any thing going since all I do is teach, or think about teaching.
Honestly, the second point is something I really need to work on. I am starting to have these side thoughts about what I would do if I wasn't teaching, what other career I could/should switch to. These are a case of an idle mind gone wrong, but a sign that I need to get my Carl on a little more. But since I'm not drinking and I don't listen to today's rap what do I do for fun?
