I just coached our ninth and tenth grade boys team to a huge win over a bunch of under prepared 8th graders. I didn't even coach anything, really, the guys pretty much did their own thing and I just sort of watched. It was a rap from the get go, the kids we were playing couldn't even dribble and we were killing them on the fast break because they had never played a full court game before (their school only has half a gym). It was cool especially because our school recently had to drop two of their games because they did not have their paper work together. The team was really down because of this and this really picked up their spirits.
But in all honesty, I got all the joy out of it. It was like playing all my high school sports again except I didn't get sweaty. Which reminds me, I need to go sign up for the lahser alumni game
