Trade deficit rant

Ok, so this article made me mad at our governments deficit spending. As I murmured to myself about current account ballances and currency markets I thought "hey why not put this on your blog to keep it fresh for a change." So here it goes,

The dollar and the penny and all of our currency is all worthless, really. But because our government says that a dollar is worth a handheld american flag or a long distance phone call, or whatever its worth. Now if other people from other countries want to purchase our goods they need to buy our dollar, with their currency. Of course usually its the other way around, we are buying other peoples currency most disturbingly currency. We are buying the right to borrow other people's currency to pay for our budget deficit. I know the gov't isn't going to bankrupt anytime soon, which is true, but when we go out looking for loans year after year, and we have to have the loans to pay for day to day operations, we have to start looking to other countries and taking whatever terms they give us. The more we go slutting around our currency the less its worth, kind of like how lindsay lohan gets less hot with every cocaine fueled party she attends. Now its gotten the to the point where our coins aren't worth the metal they are minted out of. Wouldn't it be cool if our government did something about it, or even better, that our country thought it to be a problem.
