New Habits need incubators

All my plans kind of went down the drain for the early part of this week. The whole lesson plan thing just slipped my mind sunday night as I decided to go to bed. Obviously the next day I did not have enough time in the morning to make a do now and a homework, let alone a standards based lecture with relevant objective and agenda. So then during my prep I had to scramble to get the do now together, instead of figure out what I'm doing tomorrow. And just like that I'm back into this survival teaching where I'm so swamped I barely get through the day looking professional. I forgot how good it was to spend class time thinking about how to help students instead of what do I do next. There will be a resuscitation of the planning, that is for sure.

If I gained anything from this it was me setting up this organization system that I started after I got inspired and listened to a tape on Getting Things Done I reduced my email in box down from a thousand or so to zero by tuesday and set up all these labels and systems for getting things done with my gmail.

Still got a lot of work to do. Including getting serious about my trance mix this weekend.
