So in today's pretty cool, engaging and intersting staff meeting, the school therapists came and talked to us about the kids that they see on a regular basis. Before we had this conversation we had this activity before hand where we were supposed to brainstorm with a partner and think about all of the bad things in our educational history so that we could think about what the kids might be going through now. As teachers, we may also transfer some of our school experiences on to our students in weird ways.
When we broke into groups I couldn't really say anything. I had so much stuff to say that I couldn't even put it into words. I remember consciously directing the conversation away from me and towards my neighbor and not really saying anything about myself.
