First days of Fall
Fall is usually thought of by alot of people as the best time of the year. It sneaks up on you as respite from those muggy hot days of the summer only slowly, and colorfully, prepare you for Winter. So slow in fact I forgot how cold fall can get on occasion which is why my fingers are numb while writing this. The air hasn't quite thinned out as much as it will during the biting days of this winter, but it has resulted in noticable changes in temperature, namely, between the breath in your lungs and the air out side (so you can see your breath), under your blanket versus the floor in your room (so you can raise your heat bill), and of course between your fingers and the rest of your body (so you have trouble typing). That however is fall here, it may be different for people else where, like texas, or bangladesh, I hope to hear otherwise. But I'll tell you right now my fingers are already starting to get numb and I'm not happy about it.

Texas is tank tops, capris, and flip flops. Humid and warm as ever. We had another incredibly violent thunderstorm last night, bolts of lightning that lit up the sky and seemed to touch the ground, accompanied by a downpour that must have come from a lake in the sky. I can't believe it's October - there are no changes in the color of the scenery, only fewer orange cones because the road construction of the summer is coming to an end. Hope you get a coffee to warm those fingers and keep yourself awake for hours of lively classroom engagement (engaging and being engaged, of course!)

we've got shifting leaves, mos def the new danger and rain, for the first time in 6 weeks.
but it's still warm as a ... you know.
well, maybe not that warm.
either way i'm off for a full WEEK of fall break. only us snobby law schoolers get it; i think because lawyers are the only ones good enough at arguing to get the job done. but probably not.
also, let's not act like Texas can't get hellishly cold. i was there in spring two years ago for Texas Relays at Austin and it was colder than a .... you know...
Okay. I live in south Florida and cold is a rarity here. If it does get cold, it's usually only for one day... here and there...
I like that: "hellishly cold" major oxymoron!
: )
colorado cold rides stealthily. october has seen th 20s and the 60s, sometimes seemingly in the same day. i'm working on the patent for inflatable pants, that puff up to provide added warmth when the sun drops
